I’m pleased to announce that Parametric Monkey is now open for business!
Parametricmonkey.com was established back in 2014 to accelerate computational literacy within architectural design to transform the building industry. With a plethora of tutorials, open-source code and research, the website enabled architects and designers to develop an in-depth understanding of digital design tools. The site has been hugely popular and shows enthusiasm and passion within the architecture, engineering, construction and operations (AECO) industry to improve the way buildings are designed, built and operated through the use of digital design tools. To further advance this vision, I have launched a digital design consultancy to help businesses not just to do things better, but to do better things.
There is today a significant convergence occurring within the AECO industry whereby technology and work processes are evolving into one. This can be seen in building information modelling (BIM) with computational design, and design optimisation with robotic fabrication, to name but a few. For too long now, design professionals have remained siloed within their industry. To remain relevant and meet today’s demand for productivity, innovation, affordability and speed, design professions must embrace real-time integration of all facets of the design and construction process. In rising to this challenge, Parametric Monkey now offers specialist architecture, BIM, computational design, digital fabrication, and strategy and training expertise. With a focus on interoperability and nimbleness, Parametric Monkey exists where building and technology intersect.
I am incredibly excited to start this journey, and I look forward to sharing what comes next. If you would like to understand more about how Parametric Monkey can help your business, please get in touch with us via our website.
