Macarthur Memorial Park is designed for peace and reflection. Spanning 113 hectares and surrounded by rolling hills and lush greenery, the project comprises a café, function centre, admin building, gatehouse, and chapel. With each building featuring a curved ‘floating’ roof, Parametric Monkey was commissioned by Savcon to provide parametric modelling and digital fabrication services for the internal and external soffit. The most complex of these was the chapel, known as ‘The Sanctuary’, which consists of a double-curvature vaulted soffit, made from Australian Hoop Pine.
